Bow Shoot Registration

Whether you knew Jake personally or are just looking to take part in a great local bow shoot, we invite you to join us for the 1st Annual Jake Popson Memorial Bow Shoot.

This event was created to reflect who Jake was—a one-of-a-kind personality, always up for a challenge, and happiest when surrounded by the people he loved.

We’ve set up a 30-target 3-D course, complete with a few surprises and quirky touches—just the way Jake would’ve planned it. This event is more than just a shoot; it’s a chance to honor and remember him in a way that feels true to who he was through friendly competition, time spent outdoors, and a sport he truly loved.

Bow Shoot Registration

Some answers to your questions:

Registration opens at 8:00am, with the shoot beginning at 9:00am.

All scorecards must be turned in by 3:00pm.

If you haven't pre-registered, that's ok! You can still register at the event for $30 (no shooter shirt included).

If you selected Brookville pick-up for your merchandise order, I have it! If you're not attending the event, please contact Jamie to arrange getting it to you.

Food will be served between 12:00pm-4:00pm and complimentary for all registered shooters. Non-participants are welcome, donations appreciated!

Challenge Targets are available all day. Iron Target shoot begins at 4:00pm. Raffle drawings and challenge winners will be announced after.

Inside Out Challenge: $2 per shot. Test your accuracy! If you get it, you'll be entered to win a Springfield Armory 2020 Rimfire 22LR with Hawke Vantage 3-12x44 donated by DSD Sports.
Rat Trap Challenge: $2 per shot. Test your speed! If you get it, you'll be entered to win a SKB Hard Bow Case.
Iron Target Challenge: $10 to enter, no buy back ins. 4:00pm Elimination Shoot. Last person will win a $100 gift certificate to Legacy Archery and a pizza, exactly what Jake would have wanted! Donated by the Popson Family.

Official merchandise is still available online! Have your orders in before July 31st! We will have a few shirts and hats for sale at the event.

Raffle table includes a lot of great gifts for guys, ladies, and kids! You must be present to win.

We do have tents and tables set up, but we encourage you to spend the day with us and bring a popup and some comfy camp chairs, too!

Bow Shoot Merchandise

In addition to the shooter shirts given to pre-registered participants, we offering additional Jake Popson Memorial Bow Shoot merchandise—including t-shirts, sweatshirts, can koozies, and more. These items are designed to honor Jake's memory and support the event, with a new color released each year to make them truly-one-of-a-kind keepsakes. They also serve as a way to spread the word and build awareness for future events, helping to keep Jake's legacy alive for years to come.

🧡 All proceeds benefit the Jake Popson Memorial. This event is hosted with support from the Brookville Area Chamber of Commerce and held in compliance with nonprofit and small games of chance regulations.

Please Note:

This is a hunter stake course – all targets will be shot from standard hunting-style stakes.
No crossbows or competition-style bows (such as Olympic or target bows) permitted.
This shoot is designed for traditional and compound archery only.
